As a not-for-profit charitable corporation chartered in 1952, the Kansas 4-H Foundation brings private funds to assist and maintain the Kansas 4-H youth development program. The Foundation builds on the tradition of bringing financial support from the private sector together with Kansas 4-H.

With more than half a century of partnerships, the Foundation creates relationships with corporations, businesses, interest groups and individuals who believe in youth and express their support in financial contributions.

As a separate and independent organization from K-State Research and Extension, the Foundation is registered by the state of Kansas as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational corporation. Gifts to the foundation are tax-deductible.

A volunteer board of trustees governs the Foundation. Foundation staff members build relationships with donors to raise support for Kansas 4-H priorities. The Foundation also employs professionals in accounting, donor relations, communications and human resources. After raising funds, advisory committees of trustees manage the investments.

Our true bottom line is youth. We believe in the 4-H experience for youth and the values and life skills it teaches. We continue to provide the private sector an opportunity to financially meet the ever-changing needs and challenges of today’s Kansas youth.
